Welcome to the IPC Contrarians Blog

Hello Contrarians,

Welcome to our blog. I’ll use this blog to keep you posted on what we are reading for class, to post links to material I think you will find of interest, and (sometimes) to comment on our common work. You are always invited to comment on any post and to continue our in-class conversations in this electronic space. If you find something of interest you’d like me to post, just send it to me in an e-mail, and I’ll post it here on your behalf.

If you’d like to receive an e-mail alert when this site is updated, then go to the upper right-hand corner of this screen and click the “follow” button. You’ll be asked to sign in with an e-mail address and password that you create. Or, you can simply check back at this site periodically to see what’s going on here. To do that all you need is the password I provided in class.

Let’s also use this site to get to know each other better. If you’ll click on the “Meet the Contrarians” link above, you’ll find a picture directory of class members. To be included in this directory, all you need to do is send me a picture of yourself holding a sign with your name and favorite Bible verse.

Fred picked my other favorite verse ("even the dogs eat the crumbs from under the table…"). That’s scary. I’ve heard that great minds think alike but I don’t know whether that applies in this case (at least on my end!). Fred and I should toast the Syro-Phoenician woman for her faith, her ability to change Jesus’ mind, and for her hungry dogs under the table. Thanks, Kendra for setting up a blog site for us!
